STARTING POINT: Taradale (address to given when you nominate)
TIME: 9:45 horseless muster for a 10am ride out. Please sign in with Alison before you ride.
RIDE DESCRIPTION: The ride will be undertaken through the Fryers Ridge Forest in Taradale. The ride will take approximately 4 – 5 hours and will involve hills, gravel roads, bush tracks, kangaroo tracks and bush bashing. There will be opportunities to trot/canter but there is a lot of walking. It will be rocky underfoot with lots of ups and downs requiring fit equines. PLEASE NOTE: This ride is NOT SUITABLE for beginner riders or green horses.
RIDE DISTANCE/DURATION: Estimated distance 20 -25kms over 4-5 hours. * Note – these are estimates only and can change subject to weather, trail conditions, issues with horses, and so on.
BRING: Halter and lead rope to tie up, drink bottle and saddlebag lunch
CONDITIONS: Equines to be shod or booted as it is extremely rocky. Cruppers/breastplates will be required if your saddle is inclined to move. There will be lots of steep hills, with the possibility of slippery descents if it rains. We will be riding along gravel roads, kangaroo tracks, four wheel drive tracks and bush bashing.
