FOR HORSE RIDERS

Horses can be intimidating to others, if you stay calm, it helps your horse remain calm.

Other users are expected to give way to horses; however, it can be safer to give way to other users if you can. Your horse will hear and see others before you do. Call out “I’m on a horse; please say ‘hello’”.

Others may be unfamiliar with horses and horse safety, so take the lead in directing a safe passing.
