Trail ride with confidence. Membership with ATHRA includes Personal Accident Insurance at all ATHRA-sanctioned events and 24/7 Public Liability Insurance. The ATHRA Insurance also covers Property Owners and Day Participant Members.

ATHRA Clubs often have exclusive access to private properties to ride on. Experience scenery riding your own horse like never before within the safety of a group of like-minded riders.

ATHRA also lobbys to all levels of government to promote access for horse riding in national parks, forests and other publicly owned land.

Membership Rewards

ATHRA  Accreditation

ATHRA offers club members the opportunity to participate in an ATHRA accreditation program. There are three recognised accredited positions: Trail Boss, Ride Coordinator and Ride Steward.  Each position holds clearly defined responsibilities and elements. The aim of each program is to educate individuals and to focus on risk management and safety for all.

Try a ride before you fully commit

ATHRA provides Day Memberships for only $20 allowing you to try up to 2 rides before you have to sign up for a full membership. This allows you to go on a ride and see if you like it before fully committing to a membership.

Membership Types for Everyone

ATHRA provides memberships for all rider’s ages including riding and on-riding members. Memberships for Children under 5 years of age are only $25, and Senior Riders over 80 are only $65.
