RIDE CLASSIFICATION :-
Strong Intermediate

RIDE DESCRIPTION
The ride is at Bullengarook in the Wombat State Forest.
A combination of single trails, 4WD tracks . Places to trot and canter dependant on groups ability and size, will be discretion of Trail Boss on the day.

The ride has hills up and down some quite steep.
One particular hill is down into a creek bed ( not for the faint hearted ) but is only short I.e approx 15 mtr

There is a possibility of meeting motor bikes.

Saddle bag lunch so please bring string to tie up.
The last part of the ride will pass through the area of the recent bush fires so we will see the devastation.

Equines should have regularly trimmed hooves, which are either well-conditioned to barefoot riding, or should be booted or shod as we will travel over various surfaces.

Some of the tracks can be quite rocky.

If extreme weather warnings out ride will be cancelled.

I would suggest bringing a horse in regular work not one that’s a once year ride or of unknown capability. This is for the welfare of your horse.

Please be mindful of giving fellow riders/ horses space (3m) and remember to turn back and check how your fellow riders are progressing behind you.

Estimated distance – approx 20km
Estimated duration – approx 4-4.5hr riding.
