Each year we conduct an annual feature ride that ranges from 5 to 10 days duration, generally in the High Country though we have been looking at new places too experience too. We also run several camp over weekend rides during the year. The club presently has over 30 members aged from 7 to 70 years.
The Yarram Horse Trail Riding Club originated in the mid 1970’s when a group of local people got together once a week to go horse riding together. They met at different areas, depending on where they intended riding. Their numbers soon increased to the point where rides averaged over 40 riders and a decision was made to buy the group’s first chuck wagon.
By 1978 the group officially became a club, riding as we still do today, on the last Sunday of the month. The club began to ride further afield, riding with other clubs and conducting horse riding camping trips.
In the early 1980’s, after encouragement from the Traralgon Trail Riding Club, Yarram affiliated with ATHRA.
