The Townsville Horse Trail Riding Club (Formerly Alligator Creek Horse Club) holds rides and has members from across the broader Townsville region as far as Ayr, Charters Towers and Ingham as well as all the outer suburbs of Townsville.
The club is small and friendly with around 30 members and usually between 3 to 18 people per trail ride.
We usually have a 3-4 hour trail ride every fortnight from March to November, plus two or three weekend camps in areas further away. Rides vary from easy beginner to fairly long and challenging, with riders able to choose their own pace (within reason!).
The club started 35 years ago as the Alligator Creek Horse Club, but we recently changed our name to reflect the wide range of our members and the fact that we do trail rides throughout the region.
