The Toowoomba Trail Riding Club is a very active, family friendly club formed on the Darling Downs in 2002. All levels of rider and all breeds of horses are welcome.
The club holds monthly trail rides, some through private property, and some along quiet country roads as well as days on more challenging terrain for those spirited adventurers.
All rides are graded from 1 to 5, so one knows what to expect. Sometimes we take a saddlebag lunch and sometimes we ride to a venue where lunch can be purchased such as a country pub.
In addition to this the club also has a performing team called “The Outback Riders” – flag bearing formation riders and their horses that perform to music at shows and other events in and around Toowoomba as well as further afield.
The Toowoomba Trail Ride Club Inc was formed in 2002 by a group of like-minded individuals. In the first instance the club was formed to be the host club of a major equine event held annually. The club’s main role was to host a charity ride in aid of the Riding for Disabled which was a great success. The club has a solid membership of all ages and abilities.
The TTRC is well known as a keen community supporter benefiting the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland, Riding for Disabled and other beneficiaries when called upon. As a result of this association the RASQ Show committee in 2003 asked the TTRC to form a performing team called “The Outback Riders”
