Established in 1979, the goal of the Toongabbie and District Riders Club is to enjoy horse riding in a fun, social, safe environment while exploring beautiful riding trails in the Gippsland area. We have grown from a small group into a membership of up to 50.
We have a Chuck Wagon which is used to house the BBQ and lunch making facilities. Our club grounds in Heywood St Toongabbie have a big main clubhouse shed with facilities such as – toilets, BBQ area, horse yards and fenced areas for parking and riding.
Some of the horse activities that utilize the grounds are – Toongabbie Pony Club, Adult Riders Club, Gippsland Western Club, Endurance Rides, Dressage events, Gymkhanas, team penning and horsemanship clinics.
Club rides are on the first Sunday of the month except January. Our trail rides are in the surrounding areas of Gippsland, including beaches, forests and lake areas. We have an annual club camp where members and their family are welcome.
We are a social family club, encouraging all members of the family to come along and join. We have been running at Toongabbie for over 40 years and some of our most active members are founding club members.
