The Southern Yorke Peninsula Riding Club holds a rich history deeply rooted in the equestrian culture of the region. Over the years, the club has served as a vital hub for riders and horse enthusiasts, fostering a sense of community and sportsmanship.
The Riding Club builds on the group’s early days of a Pony Club that encouraged riders from all of the district and played a pivotal role in promoting horse riding skills, camaraderie, and equine education. The club’s legacy is marked by numerous events, competitions, and the shared passion for horsemanship that has been passed down through generations, contributing to the vibrant equestrian heritage of the Southern Yorke Peninsula.
In 2023 the club made the name change to SYP Riding Club and affiliated with ATHRA to better support the riding pursuits and interests of its members.
