Our Club is based in the beautiful Brisbane Valley, Somerset Region and beyond.
We are one of the largest clubs in Queensland and have an active committee who enjoy hosting quality events that our members can enjoy.
We hold regular day rides, weekend camps, pack rides, education weekends and regularly host the ATHRA annual SE Qld camps.
Our members come from the Gold Coast, Somerset, Toowoomba Moreton and Sunshine coast regions, so we often travel distances to get to our favourite riding areas. We ride mainly on private landholdings along with local government and state managed assets.
We endeavour to hold a camp and ride weekend every three weeks, of course if camping is not your thing you are welcome to come for either day. We like a trot and a canter but will always put safety first and split the group up into walkers and or faster riders when required.
We hold an annual Bushman’s Challenge for a fun competition, along with Navigation rides, Cowboy dressage, Team penning and training days with quality trainers.
Basically, anything that our members would like to try we make it happen.
We have a great club trailer that allows us to provide back up support to bring in water and equipment for remote camps to make it easier for our members. So come along and join the fun with the Somerset Club.
The Somerset Trail Riding Club was founded in 2011 to fill the need in the region for a safe and fun club for families and friends.
