Riddells Creek usually conducts day rides on the 3rd Sunday of every month and organise camp-over rides on most long weekends.
We ride anywhere from Wombat State Forest, Bullengarook, Macedon, Echuca, Daylesford to Cowbaw State Forest and any place in between.
We endeavour to explore new areas each year and therefore the venues change regularly. We do have our favourite and popular venues which pop up on the calendar annually.
Our camp rides organised on long weekends are great fun, but there is no pressure to ride or attend every day, so you are welcome to come for 1, 2 or 3 days, the choice is yours. Families are also welcome to attend socially on camp rides.
We cater for all levels of riders and horses with a ‘Safety First’ motto. Ride duration on any day ride is approximately four hours in the saddle, all rides are conducted with an ATHRA trained Trail Boss, First Aid officer and Lead rider – no getting lost! Skill level required for most rides is walk and trot but we do try and make canter an option by splitting the group where possible. We cater for all ages from 8 to 80 years and our members are social and from all corners of the State but we all have one thing in common – we all enjoy riding our horses in the bush with great company.
