About the Club

Previously known as “Red Rivers Trail Riders”, with rides based in the Logan, Scenic Rim and Redland Shires. Our clubs’ activities and rides calendar are as diverse as the regions we ride in.

Renamed “Logan Equestrian and Quarter Horse Club Inc” on 26th March, 2026 to better reflect the various disciplines now being offered at our club.

Trail Riding is our foundation discipline and will always feature strongly in our events calendar, providing our members with variety rarely offered in one club.

Our move to Boondarn Park, Cedar Grove has allowed our club to be one of the first ATHRA affiliated clubs to bring the discipline of Ranch under the ATHRA banner.

With the focus on education, development and horsemanship, this aligns nicely with ATHRA ethos.

Our new grounds will allow us to continue with Trail Obstacles on the 4th Saturday of the month.

Our Trail ride calendar is full, with both weekend and midweek rides (Avachat Ride on the 1st Tuesday of the month) as well as Camps on some lovely properties.

If you are looking for a club that is as diverse as it is enthusiastic, then Logan Equestrian and Quarter Horse Club is the one for you.

Club History

In 2001 two ATHRA affiliated Clubs which operated with the same values and utilised similar riding areas, merged to form the Logan Rivers Redlands Trail Riders Club.
These clubs were the Redlands Horse Trail Riders Club which had a history dating back to the inception of ATHRA in Queensland, and the Logan Rivers Trail Riders which was a seven-year-old Club.
The concept was to form a stronger Club with a broader cross section of members who had a diverse local knowledge of areas to ride in three rapidly developing areas of our State
The move to Boondarn Park in Cedar Grove in January 2026, has come with both elation and sadness. We see a small group of trail riders who do not wish for change and expansion, and they have chosen to form a smaller, trail riding focused club. They will use our previously known name of Red Rivers Trail Riders. Our club has supported these members with a significant donation of both finances and equipment.
March 26th, 2026 the new club name of Logan Equestrian and Quarter Horse Club Inc became official. The club now offers members more opportunities to participate in events and activities. The removal of the wording “Trail Riding” and replace with “Equestrian”, is to better reflect all that is offered at this club.
