The Bouldercombe Trail Horse Riders Club Inc. is a recreational, not-for-profit organisation affiliated with the Australian Trail Horse Riders Association. We promote safe and environmentally responsible trail horse riding.
Established in September 1977, our diverse membership spans all ages and includes riders from across Central Queensland, such as Gracemere, Alton Downs, Mount Morgan, Bouldercombe, Bajool, Emu Park, Yeppoon, Calliope, and Rockhampton. We organise bi-monthly day rides, weekend excursions, and campouts, fostering a sense of community and outdoor enjoyment.
Our club operates from a 2-hectare area at the Bouldercombe Progress Association Sporting Complex, which includes a fenced area, a wash bay, a shed, a round yard, and horse yards. We create a supportive environment for riders who can walk, trot, and canter independently.
The Bouldercombe Trail Riders Club held its first official recorded meeting in September 1977. The club participated in the National Mail Ride in 1978, riding along 100km of the track from the crossing of the Fitzroy River near Yaamba to a small settlement on the southern side of Mount Morgan.
