  • Description
The Hastings Trail Riding Club (HTRC) was formed in 1999 by a small group of people in the Mid North Coast who wished to ride their horses in the local State forests in the Hastings area. The aim of the Club is to encourage riders of all abilities to undertake trail riding in a safe and friendly environment for both rider and horse. We get together twice a month ,of a weekend, for a relaxing trail ride through the bush, or along one of our beautiful beaches ,or at a training day..Our trail rides and training days are usually for 3 hours then we have lunch and a good social chat. Depending on the members along for the day our trail rides always provide the option of being divided into two groups .One group for those who wish to have a trot and canter , the other for those who wish to just cruise along and enjoy a leisurely ride. We hold training days every six weeks .These days involve fun challenges for both horse and rider with the aim of learning the necessary riding skills to cope with difficult obstacles they may encounter in the bush.
