    Mount Manypeaks Horse & Pony Club (MMHPC)

    in conjunction with

    THE AUSTRALIAN TRAIL HORSE RIDERS ASSOCIATION

    TRAIL BOSS/ RIDE COORDINATOR/ RIDE STEWARD ACCREDITATION COURSE

    ATHRA will be conducting a Trail Boss/ Ride Coordinator/ Ride Steward Accreditation workshop for current ATHRA members aged 18 years and over at –

    VENUE: MMHPC Grounds and the Mount Manypeaks Primary School,

    South Coast Hwy,

    Manypeaks WA 6328

    DATE: Saturday 6th August 2016 and Sunday 7th August 2016

    COST: $50 per person – must be paid with application and NO LATER THAN 22nd July 2016.

    CATERING: Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea will be provided each day

    Attendees will need to cater for all other meals themselves.

    APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: Please have application forms completed and signed by no later than Friday 22nd July 2016

    DIRECTIONS TO VENUE:

    Manypeaks is a small township located 40kms east of Albany on the South Coast Hwy. The MMHPC grounds are located within the township of Manypeaks on the South Coast Hwy, next to the Primary School. The entrance to the club grounds is east of the main entrance to the school, drive through the parents car parking area and over the footpath to the gates to the MMHPC Grounds (sign posted).

    The theory component of the training will occur at the Mount Manypeaks Primary School and is located next to MMHPC grounds on the west side.

    There are public toilets at the amenities block next to the Manypeaks Hall, located directly east of the MMHPC grounds. It is a short walk through the gate to access these toilets.

    The Manypeaks Store (Ph 08-9846 1201) is open till 6pm on Friday night and 8am to 12pm on Saturday and is closed on Sunday; the store provides fuel, Australia Post, liquor, basic food & pantry items, cool drinks, pies etc.

    Participant Information

    General Information:

    Bring electric fencing for horse yards

    Toilets and a shower available at the school. Public toilets available at the amenities block of the Manypeaks Hall.

    A simple BBQ lunch, as well as morning afternoon tea, will be provided for participants on Saturday and Sunday. Please notify MMHPC if you have a food allergy or preference.

    Tea/ Coffee facilities provided

    OK to arrive Friday afternoon (will need to BYO food)

    Don’t forget to bring with you:

    Horse (for Trail Boss/ Ride Steward applicants only; those applying for Ride Coordinator do not have to take part in the practical sessions on horse)

    Pen / Folder to lean on and a current version of the ATHRA Code of Conduct.

    *         Food for Saturday night/ Sunday breakfast (and Friday night/ Saturday breakfast for those arriving Friday).

     Camping is permitted at the MMHPC grounds; with basic kitchen facilities available at the MMHPC luncheon room i.e. BBQ, microwave, gas cook top, urn. There will be a shower made available at the School for those camping. There are toilets at the school or public toilets at the Manypeaks Hall amenities block.
