MAY CAMP – Morgan – Saturday & Sunday 30 & 31 May 2015

Ride description – Saturday arrive at 1 for a 2pm ride. About a 2-3 hour ride roads & tracks in the area.

Sunday 9.00 start for ride to Cadell, cross the ferry and ride back to Morgan to stop for lunch and drinks at the pubs. Then over the Morgan Ferry back to camp. Mainly walking and some trotting. Approx. 5 hour ride mainly on roads.

For those who do not wish to camp just come for either days ride.

Directions-Best way is to go up the Sturt Highway to Blanchetown. Go over the Blanchetown bridge and keep going up the hill until you come to a turn on your left (~1km) that say Murbko, Pine Village (27k) and Cadell. Travel along that road until you come to a T Junction. The sign says left to Morgan 2km and right to Cadell 9km. Turn right towards Cadell and travel up the road until you come to a yellow sign that has an arrow pointing right around a bend and a side road facing the other way. Slow down and turn left on to the dirt road and be careful it is slippery. Travel down the hill and not far on your right is a sign Billabong farm, turn into the gate (there will be a sign out).

Camping-

People- Saturday night tea BYO meat for BBQ and a salad to share .BYO Sunday breakfast there is a BBQ if you want bacon and eggs but remember you are riding all day.There is a fully equipped kitchen if you don’t want to have BBQ. There is a shower and toilet and if you don’t want to sleep in your float there is some beds.

Horses- will need yards, feed and water (water is from the river, so if your horse is fussy please bring your own).

-          If you are interested but don’t have yards Kath has a spare electric set up she can lend for the weekend.
