ATHRA members assisted in raising $6,800. in funds for the Austalian Brumby Alliance in June 2010.  In order to distribute the money the Australian Brumby Alliance asked its members to submit a ‘bid’ to explain how funds they requested would directly help Brumbies.   Please click here to see the full letter and distribution details. It is fantastic to see how this money went to so many areas to help throughout Australia.

With over 48 participants this was a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge with some experienced pack saddling veterans.  Talks were held on dietary requirements, types of horses, camping gear and then, teamed with presentations from a vet on emergency equine care on the trail and a very informative and interactive talk by a farrier -  everyone agreed that the day should not be missed next year.
